We had a WONDERFUL reason to celebrate today...
my Nana is 80 years old!
Obviously, don't let the number fool you...
Look how beuatiful she is. Inside and out.
(Birthday hat compliments of Alden.)
She is truly an amazing woman. She loves the Lord more than anything.
She loves her family so much. And I just hope to one day be as faithful as she is to
"pray without ceasing" (1Thessalonians 5:17).
She is not just my grandmother, but one of my dearest friends.
We are SO blessed to have her.
We knew that Nana would never want a big to-do made over her birthday, so about 4 months ago Kristen and Mom came up with the idea to make a scrapbook...
80 pages all made by family members of memories/reasons why Nana is so special to us.
It turned out GREAT! We all enjoyed doing it, and now it's something to look at over and over.
We went to lunch at The Old Mill in Acworth, then back to our house for dessert,
and Nana even got a surprise Skype call from her sister and family in Wichita, KS!
It was a sweet and fun day!
