- Brooklyn took her FIRST STEPS today!!! And we had several witnesses... we were at church with my parents and Nana and she decided to take about 5 steps to her Daddy! (I later found out that Daddy had to walk down the hall to keep from crying in front of everyone!)
- She's very observant and pays attention to everything she sees or hears. And then does her best to repeat it. I love watching her try to figure things out. She's a very determined little thing.
- She's also a monkey... this girl loves to climb. She'll try to climb into or onto whatever her little feet can get on.
- Finally, four top teeth are coming in... they gave us a struggle!
- She's a "shy socialite" -if there is such a thing- Brooklyn loves to say HI to everybody (and all day long), but she usually waits until someone isn't looking at her to do so! When we're in a store she waves and says hi to everyone. (And of course she clams up when someone comes over to talk to her!)
- She already likes to talk on the phone! One day- out of no where- she starting holding her arm up to her ear and saying "ah"(hi)... what we've now figured out is that is what she does when she sees or hears the phone... apparently we're on the phone a lot because we didn't try to teach her that one, she did it on her own!
- Brooklyn gives sweet, sweet HUGS.
- She thinks it's fun to push the garage door button or turn lights on/off, play with opening and closing doors, and loves peek-a-boo.
- A friend of my mom's gave Brooklyn a baby doll and we were amazed to see how excited she was about it.

- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her favorite show... she recognizes the music and starts bobbing her head to the music. (But BabyPraise and Baby Einstien dvd's still win out above all... she will usually sit still for 30 minutes and watch every bit of it.)
- That, however, is the ONLY time this girl is still right now... if she's awake, she is BUSY!!!

I miss my B and reading these updates make me miss her more. Can she come play?!
I'm sure Jason won't mind that everyone reading this now knows he cried about his baby's first steps :)
Then again, not many men read blogs so he might be safe!
