Our First Week as a Family of Five

Our little sleeping angels...
Sophie and Emma have been the best babies!
They eat good, sleep good, hardly ever get fussy, and love to be cuddled.
(Although I'm holding my breath because I know that can all change at any moment!)

Emma

Sophie
And, YES, we can tell them apart :)
In fact, that's how they got their names...
We instantly thought that Sophie favored Jason and Emma favored me.
Jason had picked the name Sophie and I had picked the name Emma,
so we gave them names based on that.
It did take us several days to get comfortable with knowing for sure which baby we were looking at.
In fact, we left their hospital bracelets on for almost a week just to make absolutely sure!
(But I did paint Emma's toes just for peace of mind!)

Emma was our smaller baby at birth,
but at their doctor's appointment at 5 days old, Emma had already passed Sophie up!
Sophie was 5 pounds, 11 ounces and Emma was 5 pounds, 10 ounces.

Hanging out with the best Daddy ever!
Look how sweet... they're holding each other!

Brooklyn has been such a GREAT big sister since the first time she laid eyes on the babies!
She likes to sit next to them, hold her arms out, and says "hold you, baby."
She loves to hold their hands and play Patty-Cake or Itsy-Bitsy-Spider.
She asks for "Fophie" and Emma as soon as she wakes up.
If they start fussing, she gets very concerned and yells "crying!"
And the first time Brooklyn heard the babies have hiccups, she laughed hysterically!
We have enjoyed every second of watching her love on her new sisters.
