Brooklyn had her first ballet/tap class today!
Ahhhh!.... CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
I had no idea how she would do so we've been trying to "prep" her to try to prevent a massive meltdown and her refusing to participate.
Having a new "ballerina dress" definitely started things off on the right foot because she was SO excited every time she got to wear it this past week. Last Friday night Mommy, Daddy, Nanni and Papa taught her how to spin, stretch, and even plie (that was entertaining!). Brooklyn couldn't have had more fun... she spun around and around ... to the point that we had to make her stop because she couldn't even stand up without falling over :)
And it WORKED! My sweet girl walked right into class all by herself. No tears. No throw-myself-down fits. No clinging on to me. She was such a big girl!
And she's the littlest one in a class of about 15 girls- ages 2-4.
She kind of stood around and watched at first, but she ended up trying to do everything her teacher did. I was one PROUD momma!
(The moms had to stand in the hallway and look through the blinds, so these are terrible pictures, but good enough to get an idea of what it was like.)
Ms. Emma is the teacher... cute, sweet lady with a beautiful British accent... she was great! |
Here's to hoping she enjoys the rest of the classes just as much!
