Can you tell who's who in these pictures?!?
I never think the girls look alike, but every once in a while I'll see resemblances. Most of the time it's in their profiles~ like you can sort of see in these pictures.
They are definitely becoming more playful every day. They reach out for toys or objects. They love to grab your fingers and hold on. And they especially love to hold onto each other. If they're laying down together, you can bet that one or both of them is holding the other one's hand or clothes!
I started giving them baby food a few weeks ago. It's taken a while for them to get the hang of it, but now they know what it is and get very excited when they see a bowl and spoon headed their way. And it's quite messy!
The girls are sleeping all night consistently now :) That makes for happy babies, a happy Mommy, and in turn, a happy Daddy!
~~ EMMA ~~
- 15 pounds, 13 ounces
- She's our roley-poley! Emma figured out how to roll back and forth last week and now she flips all the time.
- I think her feet are her favorite toys.
- She "talks" to herself a lot ~ she makes the sweetest noises.
- Sleeps with her elephant blankie... she does just like Brooklyn used to do, she covers her face with it when she's sleepy. (Brooklyn has a ducky, and Sophie has a froggy blanket).
While Sophie was still napping, Brooklyn and Emma had some one-on-one time ~ "painting" and reading books. Emma is so tolerant of Brooklyn tugging her in every direction. |
~~ SOPHIE ~~
- 13 pounds, 7 ounces (not sure how she's going down, but I'm not too worried, she's got plenty of rolls to keep her healthy!)
- Dare I say??? .... she might, just maybe, be having a little bit fewer crying fits!
- I love this picture because it captures her personality... she acts so sweet, and shy, and cute.
- SUCH a little giggler!!!
- She likes attention... she doesn't like when you walk away from her, but if you sit with her, she's as happy as can be.
- It's been hard to leave her because she's been absolutely refusing to take a bottle. But just this week we bought a different kind and she took it!
Nanni actually got her to take it. And she said that it was extra-special because she said I did the exact same thing and then ended up taking the same kind of bottle ~ the Playtex Nurser. |

this is how we have dinner as a family... |
Luke often asks Kristen if I need to go to the grocery store and if the babies can stay with him! Isn't that sweet?! He and Hadley are so sweet with the babies! |
