Bye-Bye Pacy

Our big girl went to visit the Easter Bunny today for a very special reason...

she gave him her pacy!  For good.

I'll take responsibility for the fact that this may have been a bit overdue, but I won't lie that at times the pacy has been just as much of a soother for Jason and I as it has to Brooklyn. 

But no more!

We've been talking to Brooklyn for over a week now about how she doesn't need it, but her baby sisters still do.  (The fact that she's old enough to understand that concept tells us that she's old enough not to have a pacy!) And she does totally get it... in fact she's been excited about it.  

She did SO good today.  She walked right up to the Easter Bunny, gave him her pacy, and sat in his lap.  After tons of pictures, she gave him a hug and said bye-bye and didn't even ask for her pacy back.

We celebrated and made a big deal about it... she got a cookie and new stickers.

Since then .....   ???

Well, we went home for a nap... the nap never happened.  She cried for an hour & 1/2.

But that night she went straight to bed.  It's been up and down... she still cries and tosses and turns to fall asleep, but overall she's done great.  And hasn't even asked for it.
And now when she finds a pacy laying around, she takes it straight to her sisters :)
