TWO MONTHS

* Weight- 11 pounds, 10 ounces. Clothes- size 3 months. Diapers- just starting to need size 2.
* SMILES :) You are becoming a smiley little baby & we LOVE it! But, of course, whenever we try to tell people or show other people, you are not always willing to cooperate... I find myself saying "she really does smile a lot." But whoever has gotten to see that sweet smile knows it's worth the wait... you can melt a heart with your smile.
* You're a morning girl. We start every day at about 7:00 a.m. It does take you just a little while to wake up completely, but then you are bright-eyed and ready to play. Mornings are easy with you... very predictable for the most part... feed, diaper change, get dressed, play, nap. Mornings are good!
* Nights can be fussy. Not always, but if you have a fussy time, it's typically between 6-8 p.m. Whimpering, a little crying, can't seem to get still and comfortable. (Don't worry, baby girl, your Mom is still the same way when she's sleepy at night!)
* You are finding your voice... you make sweet oohs, ahhs, and coos.
* Strong legs. You love to kick... and kick... and kick...! You actually like to be laid down now... especially on your play mat... your legs don't stop until you get sleepy and worn out.
* Strong neck. You hold your head up very well. You are beginning to get more control of it each day.
* You are quite the pacy girl. "Soothie" pacys. You don't take it all the time, but when you want it, it's all you need to settle down. And you're learning to hold on to it pretty well. But the bad part of a pacy is that you don't yet know how to pick it up and put it back when you loose it... most of the time you're fine when that happens, but every once in a while you are not happy about that.
* You are a MUCH better sleeper now. You sleep in your crib every night and usually take at least 1-2 naps there. We can actually lay you down by yourself to sleep now! That's BIG TIME progress from where things started! You still fight your sleep for a few minutes, but give up pretty easily after that. (That one comes from your Daddy... he still feels like he's missing out on something when he has to go to sleep!)
(By the way, thanks to our sweet friend, Abbey, you no longer sleep in the changing pad/boppy contraption... she brought over Ava's sleep positioner and you like it. Thank you Abbey and Ava!)
A normal night's sleep is waking every 4-5 hours... sometimes still every 3... and every once in a while you go 6 hours!
When you fall asleep while we're holding you, you like to bury your face into our chests... it's so funny to watch you do that!
* The one food that you do NOT tolerate me eating... red peppers.
* You love your swing, bouncy seat, and play mat.
* You've got beautiful, long, curly eyelashes.
* Starting to get baby acne :(
