Happy Father's Day!

We have blueberry muffins almost every Sunday morning, but today was extra-special because it was Jason's FIRST Father's Day!
So with the muffins, he had a card waiting on him from Brooklyn and one from me,
and his gift will be here in a week...
tickets (REALLY good seats) to the Braves' game. But not just any Braves' game--
we will be watching Stephen Strasburg pitch for the Washington Nationals--
which is apparently a really big deal and exactly what Jason wanted for Father's Day
(since he picked it out himself!)

Brooklyn wanted SO badly to get into those muffins!

We had a relaxed afternoon, and then had a great steak dinner with
Andy, Kristen, Luke, Hadley, and Mom and Dad.
I am incredibly grateful for my Daddy. He absolutely is one of the GREATEST blessings of my entire life. I am still (and always will be) a Daddy's girl. This man is the most loving, respectable, knowledgeable, wise, Godly, kind-hearted, generous, thoughtful, understanding, strong, and sweetest Dad that anyone could ever have... and he's mine!
In my eyes, he pretty much hung the moon... and could do anything else I needed.
I love you SO much, Daddy!

... and this little girl does too!

So where do I even begin to put into words what kind of a Daddy Jason is...
just watching him with Brooklyn melts my heart and
makes me fall more and more in love with him.
Two (of the many things) I wanted in the man I married were that he be a man like my Dad (see above qualities!) and that he was someone who not only wanted children, but would really be a good father. Well, God is SO good... Jason far exceeded those hopes.
He is a natural at being a Daddy.
It has come so easily for him.
He just moved right into "super-dad" role...
he holds her, cuddles her, rocks, her, feeds her, gives her baths, gets her to sleep, loves to go get her in the mornings, dresses her, can dry up her tears in a split second, gets choked up just watching her sometimes, plays the funniest games with her, loves to take her shopping, makes her laugh the cutest laugh, knows what she needs, what she likes, what she doesn't like, and makes her light up when he walks into a room!
You're an amazing Daddy, Jason, and Brooklyn and I love you!

What better way to fall asleep after a long Father's Day...
