SIX MONTHS

I truly cannot believe that we have had our sweet girl for half of a year already! Especially seeing newborn Hadley, it's just so crazy to see how much changes in six months. What I really can't believe is that in six more months, she'll be ONE! I can't quite wrap my mind around that yet, but I'm sure it's going to be here before I know it.
  • Weight: 16 pounds, 8 ounces.
  • Clothes: Size 6-9 months, occasionally 12 month.
  • Nights are still usually really good. 8:30 pm (ish) to 6:30-7 am. Day time naps are just now starting to become a little consistent... usually a catnap in the morning, about a 1-2 hour nap after lunch, and sometimes a catnap around 5:30-6 ish.
  • She still fights sleep... if she feels her eyes getting heavy, she'll pop them back open and wiggle every way possible to keep herself awake. Especially if other people are around... it makes it nearly impossible to get her to sleep. I'm convinced that she thinks she's going to miss out on something.
  • We found out that she can now turn from her back to her tummy when we saw her like this...
  • If we lay her on her tummy, she instantly flips herself to her back.
  • She's getting louder. She loves to squeal ... not necessarily because she's unhappy, sometimes just to make noises & hear herself ... she's usually smiling the whole time!
  • She's starting to make a few "ba-ba-ba-ba" sounds. (Personally, I think it sounds more like "ma-ma"!)
  • She wants to sit up so badly, she always tries to pull her head and chest up. She's very close to being able to sit, but not quite there yet.
  • Some of her favorite toys right now: cell phones, remote controls, and her toes.
  • Now moved to eating every 4 hours.
  • Foods- we haven't found anything she doesn't like yet! She's had sweet potatoes, squash, peas, green beans, prunes, pears, peaches, applesauce, bananas, and rice cereal.
  • If ANY food is in her eyesight, she's goes for it.
  • She got her first pedicure :)
  • She was sick for the first time a few weeks ago- fever, cough- first sick visit to the doctor.
  • I keep expecting to see a tooth any day... Brooklyn's been showing classic signs of teething since she was 3 months, and it's definitely getting more intense- chewing on anything/everything, drooling, spitting up, pulling on her ears, etc. No teeth yet (and that's just fine with me!)
  • She gets sweeter, funnier, smarter, and chunkier every day!!!
