What is it with us and TN??? ... we ended up back in the same urgent care with the same nurse practitioner as we did last trip! This time for Jason and a hurt back. Thankfully after some good medication and rest he's doing well; but that is how we started off our Christmas trip to TN.
(And sadly where Jason and I spent pretty much all of Brooklyn's first birthday... thankfully her Pa Mike and cousins kept her busy and happy.)
After all of the medical issues, we did manage to have a fun time. Big dinners, lots of presents, and time to lay back, relax and enjoy family.
Side Note:
Lesson learned = do not take a 2 hour trip the first time the baby is in a new car seat.
Sounds like common sense, right?
Well I'm not sure why, but for some reason I thought Brooklyn would love her new car seat... after all, she'd get to watch a movie and see us...
SO WRONG.
It was by far the longest trip we've ever taken with her. She cried screamed for about 11/2 hours straight.
Which of course threw her off her normal schedule... which then made for 3 more rough nights. To the point where me, Jason, and Brooklyn had 2 midnight drives around town just to get her to sleep. That's never happened before.
Oh well, now we know!
This is her Pa Jerry playing guitar and singing to her which is one of the few things she'd lay down and almost fell asleep to!
Thankfully the ride home was WAY more peaceful (and quiet!).
