Check out my little beach beauty!
We spent 5 days in Destin over spring break. Not only was I dying for a trip to the beach, but I'm afraid it will be our only chance this year because my doctor doesn't seem to think that my summer plans will include traveling :)
So this trip was VERY important to me. I prayed and prayed and prayed for pretty weather (because it can go either way in April) and God heard my prayers and blessed us with lots of warm sun!
Jason and I both just couldn't wait to see Brooklyn's reaction to the beach. And, as you can see, she LOVED it. She got so excited when she first saw it and yelled "bubbles"! That is what she called the ocean and the pool the rest of the trip. Her little feet would jump and dance with excitement every time we set her in the sand. It absolutely overwhelmed my heart with joy!

Part of the fun is that this is one of the sweet faces we woke up to each morning. My parents and Andy, Kristen, Luke, and Hadley went with us. I have always loved family vacations. They are some of my favorite memories of growing up and I hope to be able to give our girls the same kind of precious memories. |

Brooklyn's favorite pastime in the condo... hide and seek in the TV cabinet |

Playing in the pool with Papa |

How sweet is that? Such a Daddy's girl. |

Not such a big fan of her first bike ride. We thought she'd love it, but she cried pretty much the whole time. But of course, any time she saw a bicycle after that she got excited. Maybe next time... |

Just a little girl time with Hadley |

Dinner time was so nice... we stayed in Sandestin so we could walk to dinner and be back for bedtime without packing up too many baby supplies. |
|
We spent the one cool day shopping and visiting the Bass Pro Shop to see the small aquarium of fish. |

The view of the bay at sunset from our room. |

So worn out every night that the closet made a great bedroom! |
