Happy Easter!

{{So since I'm SOOOOOOO far behind in my blogging, I decided to start with the current pictures, and work backwards...
at least that will keep me encouraged to try to stay on track from this point on!}}

Easter was WONDERFUL! But, I have to start with the past few weeks and the many, many conversations we've had with Brooklyn about the true meaning of Easter:
Jason dvr'd the movie "Hop" for the girls.  It's super cute & I'm sure we've watched it hundreds of times now... to the point that Brooklyn tries to imitate the bunny's British accent and knows all the words to the songs!  But we quickly realized that we didn't want her to think the Easter Bunny was all there was to Easter.  So we've read her children's Bible books and discussed Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection a lot. I have found that it has challenged my faith in big, but good ways... I've got to know what I'm talking about to explain Truth to her... I've got to pray that God gives me the words to explain it in a way that her little mind understands it... and mostly, she's got to see that her Mommy and Daddy not only really believe it, but live it out.  Whew! That's big stuff!
Thankfully, God has helped her begin to understand, and hearing her tell the story that "He is alive!" and "He is risen!" is PRECIOUS.

The Easter Bunny did visit our house and leave the girls a few goodies...

our girls loooove chocolate... they come by it very honestly :)

And then we went to church with my parents.  I love visiting FBCPS because of all the old, familiar sweet faces... that many of have now become familiar to Jason as well :)
And then to Nanni and Papa's house for a yummy lunch and a tiny, in-the-living-room Easter egg hunt (because it was pouring rain outside).

YAY!!!! the Easter Bunny (of course) came to Nanni and Papa's house too!!!
Jason and Andy had the fun job of trying to keep 6 little ones in the bedroom while they "patiently" wait for us to hind Easter eggs!

... and we're done!  Big days like this are tons of fun, but wear out the little ones AND the big ones!  But that's what Sunday naps are for :)
