We were able to celebrate Brooklyn's baby dedication service at church Sunday. She was one of five babies- including our friend, baby Dylan! The baby dedication was important to Jason and I because we know that Brooklyn is a gift to us from the Lord. And it is absolutely our desire to raise her to know Jesus and how much He loves her. We were thankful to be able to share that commitment with our family and friends.

You never know how a baby's going to act... and as calm as Brooklyn is most of the time, she can still be unpredictable so I wasn't sure how she would do during the 10 minutes we would be on stage. Thankfully, she was truly a little angel. She looked just like this the entire time... never fussed, never wiggled, and never even needed the pacy (that I held in my hand just in case!).
We had a BBQ lunch at our house after church. It was a perfect spring day to keep the doors open and even eat outside.

Here's my attempt at making/decorating Brooklyn's cake. Not too bad, but definitely not professional. (That was actually cake #2... I baked cake #1 Friday night and right after I took it out of the oven, I dropped it on the floor!)

"Train up a child in the way she should go and when she is old she will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 ... definitely what we believe and pray for Brooklyn.
